Let me tell you about how much I love #workitout100. Workitout100 originally gave me the “spark” or “fire” if you will, to get going. I was overweight, lacked confidence and needed to get back on track. The 100 days sounds daunting at first but I figured I would give it a try. Trying to accomplish the 100 days was better than not trying at all. The challenge got me back into a good habit of working out every day. I like that you can take active rest days but I try to limit myself to one per week. After accomplishing the 100 days I decided to challenge myself and take on the #workitout365 challenge. I am now on day 396 and still going strong.
Today, I look back and can’t imagine how I didn’t work out every day before. I look forward to my workouts (almost every day) and love planning out my week. I write down all of my workouts for the week on Monday mornings that way the workout is already on my planner and a part of my day. I am not a morning person so I struggle at getting up but love working out in the evening. I go straight to the gym after work. Sometimes I find myself a little antsy to leave work and go put on my gym clothes. 🙂
This challenge works and I am living proof. It isn’t a fast transformation or a quick fix but a lifestyle change. I went from a size 12 to a size 6 and I am down 30 pounds from my heaviest. The best part is I am keeping it off and have a way healthier lifestyle than I did before. I still have a ways to go but I am proud of my accomplishments.
The other part of this challenge I love is the community and how encouraging people are. More than half of my followers/followees I have never met in person but yet they are cheering me on and encouraging me to keep striving for my goals as I do for them. I have made some really good friends that I would love to meet in person someday because of #workitout100.
