Todays ab exercise is the russian twist. We are demonstrating the most common version– with you feet off the ground and no weights. For a less difficult russian twist you may put your feet on the ground, and if you are looking for a challenge you can hold onto a weight.
Things to keep in mind while doing the russian twist:
- Try to keep your legs steady– they shouldn’t be rotating with the rest of your body
- Think about dropping your hands/weights all the way down to the ground on the other side of your body
- Keep your movements slow and controlled
The goal is to do 20-30 russian twists (10-15 on each side) for 3 sets. You can rest for up to 30 seconds between each set if needed.
