Sheehan Hubbard: 365 Days Later

Complete.  Accomplished.  Finished.  Done.  Achieved

365 days of working out consecutively is complete!  There were some more arduous days than others but nevertheless, I was consistent & followed the famous @workitout100 mantra of “Get Up & Move!”

I started out the “Workitout100” challenge in June 2014, finishing in October 2014.  After that, I had all intentions of working out consistently, and I did – but not as consistently as I had before.  I knew I loved the challenge, and the “Workitout100” community around me.

So what did I do? I knew I needed to go back to the accountability of keeping track of my workouts & socializing with others on Instagram.  I restarted the challenge in December 2014, and once day 100 hit, I just decided to keep going.  Before I knew it, I was here, 1 year later, still loving the “Workitout100” community & connecting with others. It really made me realize that a year flies by, you can do anything you put your mind to, and you can change your life.  With Workitout100 in my life, I have been able to lose 30 pounds (I included a focus on better eating, as well), and I feel amazing.  Of course, we are always a work in progress, so I am not stopping but I am better off now, than where I was before.  Was every day easy? No.  Were there days I didn’t want to workout? Yes.  But I pushed through! I am grateful for a community full of encouragement.

Taking a look back at my daily check-ins on Instagram & Facebook, I was able to reflect on all the fun I had:

Sheehan 365

The biggest take away from this past year is making workouts fun, taking it one-day-at-a-time, & to be sure to plan ahead when you will be active each day.  Yes, 365 days seems like a lot, but start with one day, and before you know it – you will be at your goal.  The key is to START TODAY!  Moving forward, I plan to continue my active lifestyle – I am thinking of restarting the challenge soon, as well as having a few friends join me.  This upcoming year in 2016, I am also excited for more adventure – including obstacle course races! There’s so much to explore, so why not get out of your comfort zone?
